Hello, hello, everybody! I for one am thrilled it's Tuesday because yesterday I was sleep-deprived hungover all day and it was miserable. I was planning on returning a movie to Redbox (that was due LAST WEDNESDAY I SUCK) but I got home and sat on the couch and I just couldn't move. I told myself the extra $1.29 I would pay for another day of having Catching Fire just so I didn't have to go anywhere was totally justified because I was just so tired. AND I HAVE NO REGRETS.
Today's prompt is "Things I do when I'm alone." If you've been joining our blog every day in July challenge, THANK YOU! It's been so great to see so many people blogging along with us and even though I've sucked at commenting on blogs (blame that stupid thing called work) I do plan on reading all of your posts! Let's just dive right on in. A swan dive though, because those are the prettiest.
When I'm alone...
...I shovel popcorn into my mouth hole by the handful. I don't think you're supposed to eat popcorn piece by piece ever, but in public it doesn't seem socially acceptable to make it look like you need popcorn like the air you breathe.
...I read my old journals. Sometimes I like to hole up in my room and read all the things I've written over the past decade (that makes me feel old). It's usually extremely dramatic and I get embarrassed for my younger self and then I say "I will only write deep and thought provoking things from now on. Things that I wouldn't be embarrassed for people to read if I die." And then I go and write something like, "OMG, today I went to Target and the sandals I wanted went back up to $15 and my life is SO HARD."
...I try to see how many push ups I can do. Regular push ups. I thought I could do 1 full one but I don't actually think I'm there yet. I can do like 80% of one full regular push up and then I kind of just collapse on the floor because... lazy.
...I sit on the couch and stare at the wall and I don't hate it.
...I clean. Usually I like to be alone when I clean. Probably because I get all sweaty from cleaning toilets and wiping down sinks and throwing out old food and nobody needs to see that.
...An ant crawled on my foot last night.
...I backstalk myself on Facebook and reminisce about old times and all the nostalgia usually makes me a little sad so then I do the popcorn thing up there.
...I watch About Time for the 5 thousandth time.
...I rewatch The Office on Netflix. I'm on season 5 and it just doesn't get old.
...I pin to my wedding board on Pinterest. And then I google wedding venues. And then I look at my hand and give myself a reality check and then I eat more popcorn.
...I go to bed before 9pm.
Meet Vivian, from Vivian Stone XO!
Vivian is a 22 year old aspiring first grade teacher from my own state of California. She is getting married in 3 months, so she is in full force wedding planning mode, which is so exciting!! I am a big fan of Vivian because hello, she loves Essie nail polish which everybody knows is the best nail polish, Chipotle, and mascara, and those are three of my own loves. That little guy in the photo below is Pepper, and he makes pretty regular appearances on Vivian Stone XO, so all you dog lovers will be thrilled about that! Vivian's "a day in the life" post details what she typically does during the day, and I always find those posts really interesting and fun to read. This one definitely didn't disappoint! Another post to check out is her "I'm the kind of girl who..." post. While reading this post I realized that Vivian and I are similar in the way that we set our morning alarms and the way that we love Target. Hello, who doesn't? Make sure to visit Vivian's blog and get to know her! For your convenience, I have added Vivian's social media links so you have no reason not to click on them. Happy reading!
